Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 2026
Our commitment
The TCS Foundation is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We want everyone — regardless of ability, device, or circumstance — to be able to access the information and services we provide.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, as set out by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
How accessible is this website?
We believe this website is largely accessible. Specific measures we have taken include:
- Skip-to-content links at the top of every page to allow keyboard users to bypass navigation.
- Semantic HTML5 elements with appropriate ARIA landmark roles and labels.
- All images have descriptive
alttext, or are marked as decorative where appropriate. - Sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds throughout the site.
- The website is fully navigable using a keyboard alone.
- Font sizes are responsive and can be increased using standard browser controls without loss of content or functionality.
- Form fields have associated labels and error messages.
- Focus indicators are visible for interactive elements.
Known limitations
While we aim for full accessibility, there are some areas we are actively working to improve:
- Some older blog posts may contain images without full descriptive
alttext. We are reviewing and updating these. - Some embedded third-party content (such as social media embeds) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We have limited control over third-party accessibility.
- PDF documents, if any are linked from this site, may not be fully accessible. We aim to provide HTML alternatives wherever possible.
Technical information
This website is built with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. It has been tested for accessibility using:
- Manual keyboard navigation testing
- Screen reader testing (VoiceOver on macOS and iOS)
- Automated accessibility checking tools
