Programme 03
Staff Training
In 2023/24, school suspensions rose 21% and exclusions 16%. There has long been a mismanagement of trauma and neurodivergence in schools. TCS equips educators with the tools — and the perspective — to change that.
What It Covers
Professional development for educators focused on behaviour management and trauma-informed approaches. The director's lived experience enables him to communicate effective strategies that maximise positive outcomes for all students — particularly those with trauma or neurodivergence.
- Understanding trauma and its impact on behaviour — not just managing symptoms
- Supporting neurodivergent students effectively in mainstream settings
- Practical behaviour management strategies grounded in lived experience
- Building stronger, more trusting relationships between staff and students
Why It Matters
When educators are equipped to understand rather than react, outcomes improve for every student — not just those with additional needs.
Most behaviour management training is delivered by people who have never experienced the systems they're describing. TCS training is different: it's delivered by someone who has lived it, survived it, and gone on to study it — bringing a perspective no textbook can replicate.
Who It's For
- Pastoral leaders and heads of year
- SENCOs and inclusion leads
- Teaching staff working with high-needs or challenging cohorts
- School leadership teams developing whole-school behaviour policy
